As a functional expert in Oracle e-business suite, your role will be to act as a bridge between the finance team and the IT team. You will understand the requirements of finance and procurement functions and translate those business requirements into business analysis documents and workflows that can be readily used by the IT team for developing new features and functionalities or building new applications in the finance and procurement ecosystem of a large organization. Requirements Functional support to internal users, investigating issues, creating resolutions and working with the technical teams to provide fixes (including Oracle support & raising or Oracle Tickets) and STAT migrations Understand, setup and modify Application Configuration as required (includes system setups, flex-fields, profile options etc.) for the Oracle Finance and procurement Modules (PA, AP, AR, GL, FA, CM). Create test plans, test cases, test scripts, perform functional testing and involvesment in UAT as required Analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems and recommend system improvements to leverage Oracle applications functionality for the Finance Team. Gather requirements, analyse, create design documents, and performs impact analysis for application changes. Functional Specification design for projects, process improvements and ad hoc requirements for Oracle eBusiness suite in the core financials modules including Projects Create and maintain system documentation. Support/understanding of other non-Oracle applications including Control-M, etc Liaise/ support other finance and IT members (Production Control, Developers, DBAs, System Admins etc) with the Oracle Financial Applications Work with all members of Group IT and 3rd parties to define the most effective and efficient technical solutions to deliver effective and efficient business solutions Work closely with IT Project Managers and as directed, to achieve the agreed deliverables Key Skills & Requirements You will have a good understanding of ERP systems from a finance and procurement perspective (ideally Oracle R12) and preferably Oracle Projects You will have a good understanding of the underlaying finance and procurement business process in the areas: projects/ Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/General Ledger/Fixed Assets/Purchasing Strong Experience of Excel is a must. Dataload & TOAD/SQL Developer would be beneficial Excellent interpersonal skills Great attention to detail and a problem solver IT Fluency - ability to understand relationships between the tools and system architecture of the business. Self-starter who works under minimum supervision Good time management and organisational skills (encompassing need to be flexible about priorities) Able to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels in the organisation Strong attention to detail/accuracy and capable of seeing the overall objective (being able to distinguish between micro details and not lose sight of the bigger picture).
