Senior Software Engineer

Role: Design, review, implement and test features in cloud based systems in Windows and Linux environments Design and implement platform features which will be used across data centers or which will be isolated to individual data centers Re-design and modify existing systems to go from handling many millions of log files per hour to hundreds of millions of log files per hour Design and implement APIs to expose new features to other back-end systems or to front-end web sites Research how to use external partner s APIs and provide accurate suggestions on how to integrate them into existing back-end systems Write unit tests for code which can be re-run later in a isolated continuous integration environment Review others code and have your code reviewed by others on a regular basis Assist the Operations team to determine the cause of issues seen by customers, or reported by health checks Experience: Significant professional experience in designing and implementing large scale back-end platforms Comfortable developing in a Windows and Linux environments Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely Ability to work with a distributed team and pro-actively communicate with others Willing to step up and own features and platform components Experience scaling out and working with large data sets Minimum of 3 years of experience required Experience developing systems around databases Experience using web application performance Experience modifying front-end code to access back-end APIs Role: Back End Developer Industry Type: Management Consulting Department: Engineering - Software & QA Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Software Development Education UG: Any Graduate PG: Post Graduation Not Required Key Skills continuous integrationBackendFront endLinuxDesign reviewWeb applicationFront end designCloudWindows
