PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Senior Manager - Key Accounts and Projects is responsible for managing and nurturing strategic relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and driving business growth. This role also involves overseeing critical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the organization s goals.
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and signup of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loan, and residential solar plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Providers and has several White label partners and other co-branded partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insurance products). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.
On 15 March 2022, CIMET decided to partner with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new verticals including Home loans, Car loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. Additionally, CIMET has plans to expand into multiple geographies including India. CIMET today has around 130+ resources across Australia and India and will grow to over 200 over the next 2 years.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Account Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients businesses, goals, and challenges to identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Drive client satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews, performance metrics, and strategies for mutual growth with clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, renewals, and pricing agreements with key accounts.
Project Management:
  • Oversee strategic projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Business Development:
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within key accounts to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Develop proposals and present solutions to address client needs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of account managers or project coordinators.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to align on goals and ensure seamless delivery of services.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success in account management and project execution.
  • Generate and present reports on account performance, project status, and business outcomes to senior leadership.
CHALLENGES OF THE POSITION
Challenge Brief Description Rapid Growth CIMET will double its workforce over the next 2 years, we need to build and onboard a team of high performing people to enable the planned growth to reach fruition. Systems CIMET is in the early phase of the expansion where systems, processes and policies are being developed and implemented. This means there will be constant changes occurring and you will need to be agile in your approach to changing business priorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in key account management, project management, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and project management tools (e.g., Salesforce, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
