  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and products by suggesting quality management practices, new technologies, and tools.

2. Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities

  • Material Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections of incoming materials and products to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards before they are used in production or construction.
  • In-Process Inspection: Monitor and inspect processes during production or construction to ensure that they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Oversee or conduct tests like ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle tests to ensure materials are free from defects or weaknesses.
  • Final Product Inspection: Perform detailed inspection of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This can include visual inspections, measurements, and performance testing.
  • Prepare Inspection Reports: Document inspection results, detailing any non-conformities and suggesting corrective actions. Report the findings to the project team, managers, and clients.
  • Testing of Components: Ensure that tests are performed on materials, components, and systems for compliance with quality standards, such as tensile, impact, or chemical tests.
  • Handle Non-Conformance Issues: Identify and manage non-conformance issues or deviations from quality standards. Work with teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
