Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.

Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations using advanced Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.

Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

Automate and streamline data processes to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.

• Data Visualization & Dashboards:

Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.

Present data findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Customize reports and dashboards to meet business needs and ensure the timely delivery of data-driven insights.

• Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and objectives.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data analysis and reporting.

Ensure alignment of data analysis projects with overall business goals and priorities.

• SQL & Python Development:

Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.

Leverage Python for data analysis tasks, including data cleaning, transformation, and automation.

Support the development of machine learning models or predictive analytics as needed.

• Data Quality & Validation:

Perform data validation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all reports and visualizations.

Identify and address any data integrity issues or discrepancies.

• Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with new technologies, tools, and techniques in data analysis and business intelligence.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst role, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, macros, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing databases.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
• Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
