Senior Software Engineer

At LocationIQ, you will: Add new features, algorithms on our API platform Create APIs which will be consumed both internally and externally Write clean, scalable, testable code to support our rapid growth Take new product ideas from white-board to customers Lead and build out an enthusiastic tech team Be a team leader who is driven, respectful of others, passionate about what you do and determined to achieve results fast Requirements: 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience Mastery of backend scripting in at least two languages, preferably PHP, NodeJS or Golang Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL Experience writing automated tests Experience working in an agile team (Scrum or Kanban) Excellent Object Oriented Programming skills and ability to write modular, secure, scalable and maintainable code Passion for building great products and loads of energy A down-to-earth attitude A desire to continually master your craft A good sense of humour :-) It would be phenomenal if you have: Experience building REST APIs and background tasks which are secure and can handle scale Hands on experience with Symphony/Laravel or Slim/Lumen, Elasticsearch, Memcache/Redis Experience with frontend development and frameworks like JQuery, React.js, Vue.js Experience with testing tools like Codeception and Selenium Prior experience in a Product / SaaS company History of contribution to open source Role: Software Development - Other Industry Type: Software Product Department: Engineering - Software & QA Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Software Development Education UG: Any Graduate PG: Any Postgraduate Key Skills BackendjQueryTesting toolsMySQLAgilePHPScrumSeleniumOpen sourceSQL
