Key Responsibilities:
CAM Software Utilization:Utilize CAM software to create toolpaths and programs for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines
Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and precision
Collaboration with Design Teams:Collaborate with design engineers to understand product specifications and design intent
Translate design data into manufacturing instructions and toolpath strategies
Toolpath Optimization:Develop and optimize toolpaths for various machining operations, including milling and turning
Ensure toolpath efficiency while maintaining product quality
Process Automation:Implement automation techniques within the CAM software to streamline repetitive tasks
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Quality Assurance:Conduct simulations and verifications to ensure that toolpaths meet quality and precision standards
Address any discrepancies or issues in the manufacturing process
Collaboration with Manufacturing Teams:Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand their requirements and constraints
Provide support and troubleshooting for CAM-related issues during production
Documentation:Maintain accurate documentation of CAM processes, toolpaths, and manufacturing instructions
Provide clear instructions for machine operators and production teams
Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on advancements in CAM technologies and manufacturing processes
Implement best practices for CAM programming and manufacturing efficiency
