Senior DevOps Engineer

What we are looking for

At Polaris, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional

systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer.

They will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and

implementing integrations that meet our customer's needs.

What You Will Be Doing

• Establish, maintain, and evolve concepts in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)

pipelines for existing and new services.

• Write clean, stable, and safe code in short time frames and frequent increments.
• Defining and maintaining security procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Set and implement user access controls and access management systems.
• Monitor network and application performance to identify irregular activity.
• Perform regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant.
• Perform security assessment of web applications, Android, iOS mobile applications, and

microservices.

• Proactively identify security vulnerabilities across our platform and recommend fixes.
• Work with IT operations to set up a shared disaster recovery/business continuity plan.
• Brainstorm new products, updates, and solutions to continuously challenge and improve

products, performance, system/data backup, security, and customer experience.

• Remain up-to-date on industry trends, share knowledge among teams, and abide by industry

best practices for configuration management and automation.

What You Should Have

• Bachelors degree or the equivalent in experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a

related field.

• Knowledge of DevOps or Systems engineering.
• Knowledge with Linux and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud services.
• Knowledge of CI / Deployment Automation tools Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Container Management tools: Docker and Kubernates.
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Databases.
• Experience/ Knowledge of Deployment & Server Monitoring tools like Splunk / Datadog.
• Writing with Python, and Java.
• Knowledge of networking conception, including basic networking concepts and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
