Rubber Compounding Manager

• Rubber Compound Development: Formulate and modify rubber compounds for cable manufacturing, ensuring compliance with mechanical, thermal, and electrical standards.


• Lab Testing: Conduct tests for tensile strength, elongation, hardness, heat resistance, and electrical properties while maintaining and calibrating lab equipment.


• Mixing Operations: Oversee rubber mixing processes using Banbury mixers and two-roll mills to achieve uniform, consistent compounds. Troubleshoot and resolve mixing issues.


• Quality Assurance: Implement stringent quality checks during and post-mixing to maintain batch consistency and comply with industry standards.


• Process Optimization: Enhance mixing techniques to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize material wastage.


• Material Management: Supervise handling and usage of raw materials like elastomers, fillers, and curatives.


• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of lab tests, mixing parameters, and production data while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.


• Collaboration: Work with production, QA, and R&D teams to align compound properties with cable specifications.


• Innovation: Explore new technologies for testing and mixing to drive cost and performance improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s/Master s in Polymer Science or Rubber Technology.


• 8-12 years of experience in rubber compounding, lab testing, and mixing.


• Strong knowledge of lab protocols, mixing machinery, and quality systems.
