Our Core Values:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Production Planning & Control to oversee all aspects of production planning and control for both our gemstone and jewellery manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, capable of optimizing production flow, minimizing lead times, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities: Jewellery Production Planning:

Develop and execute comprehensive production schedules for all jewellery orders, considering factors such as order volume, lead times, resource availability, and production capacity.
Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to optimize production flow and minimize stockouts.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
Develop and maintain accurate production records and reports, including production schedules, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Gemstone Supply Planning:
- Develop and implement a robust supply plan for all gemstones, considering factors such as market trends, supplier availability, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
- Manage inventory levels of gemstones, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production demands while minimizing holding costs.
- Collaborate with the gemstone sourcing team to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships.
- Monitor gemstone quality and ensure adherence to industry standards and company specifications.
- Implement quality control measures at all stages of the gemstone procurement process

Lead and mentor a team of production planners and coordinators.
Delegate tasks effectively, provide clear instructions, and monitor team performance.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Continuously analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement.
Implement new technologies and best practices to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Develop and implement cost-reduction strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in production planning and control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the jewellery industry.
Proven experience in managing gemstone procurement processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant software (e.g., MRP, Excel, etc.).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Desired Skills:

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of international gemstone quality standards (e.g., GIA, IGI).
Experience with ERP systems specifically designed for the jewellery industry.
