Lab Testing and Analysis (Environment Laboratory)

• Sample Collection and Preparation:Collect environmental samples (water, soil, air, etc) from different sources, following specific protocols and procedures
• Prepare samples for testing by employing techniques such as filtration, extraction, and preservation
• Laboratory Testing and Analysis:Perform a range of tests and analyses on environmental samples using specialized equipment and methodologies
• Conduct chemical, physical, and biological tests to determine the presence of pollutants, contaminants, or other environmental factors
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and protocols while conducting tests and handling samples
• Maintain quality control measures to validate test accuracy, precision, and reliability
• Data Interpretation and Reporting:Interpret test results, analyze data, and generate reports summarizing findings and observations
• Present findings in a clear, concise manner suitable for regulatory submissions or internal purposes
• Instrumentation and Equipment Maintenance:Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as necessary
• Research and Development:Stay updated on new testing methods, technologies, and regulatory changes in the environmental field
• Contribute to research initiatives, method development, or process improvements within the laboratory

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
• Laboratory Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and analytical methods relevant to environmental testing
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental regulations, standards (EPA, ISO, etc), and compliance requirements
• Data Analysis: Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets using statistical and analytical tools
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling samples, conducting tests, and recording results
