Job Title: Assembly Incharge

Department: Production

Location: Neemrana, Rajasthan

Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in assembly line management, preferably in the luggage or manufacturing industry.
Reports To: Plant Manager

Job Summary

The Assembly Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assembly line in the luggage manufacturing process. The role includes managing a team of assembly workers, ensuring product quality, meeting production targets, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring efficiency in the production process.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Assembly Line Supervision:
    • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the luggage assembly line, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and on time.
    • Ensure that all workers follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the assembly process.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of assembly operators and technicians.
    • Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff on assembly techniques, safety procedures, and product standards.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure team motivation and discipline.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Monitor the quality of products being assembled and ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
    • Address any defects, rework, or errors in the assembly process promptly.
    • Implement corrective actions and continuously work to improve product quality.
  4. Production Planning and Scheduling:
    • Coordinate with the production planning department to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components for assembly.
    • Develop and implement production schedules and timelines to meet customer demands and internal targets.
    • Ensure minimal downtime and proper maintenance of machinery and tools.
  5. Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure that the assembly line and work areas are maintained in a safe and clean manner.
    • Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to reduce accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct regular safety checks and equipment inspections.
  6. Inventory Management:
    • Maintain proper records of materials and components used in the assembly process.
    • Ensure proper stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking of raw materials.
    • Work with the warehouse team to manage the supply of components needed for assembly.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.
    • Work with engineering and design teams to enhance product designs and streamline the assembly process.
    • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other best practices to increase productivity.
